Day 3 of OJT: Work from Home, Laravel Framework Setup

Today was different from the first two days, instead of heading straight to office, we worked from home in observance of the People Power celebration, of course with the blessing of our University President . It's always meaningful to have this day off to remember such an important part of our unique history, but since we're racing against the clock with our hour requirement, we decided to stay productive even at the comfort of our own home.

Working from home has its own vibe. No commuting, no peer factors, and more comfortable setup, this sparks freedom to work even without clothes. But, this setup requires more self-discipline and better communication with the team since we're not physically together and the enticing television and toys at home. For that, we stayed connected through messaging apps, calls, had it few in the morning to distribute attainable tasks on what each of us could deal with today. Our plan is having the technical foundations ready so we can have other clerical tasks completed when we're back in the office.

Today will be a short blog post as I will be focusing on having these tasks done as quickly as possible so that I may rest and have bonding time as well with the family, ruminating the essence of this day's historical value.

Until then,
Laurence Ayo
